Thurston County Fair Open Class Home Arts Department

Get Ready for the 2025 Thurston County Fair!

2025 Fair Dates are Thursday, July 31 through Sunday, August 3, 2025

Entry Day for Textile Divisions is Monday July 21, 2025, from  1pm - 7pm at Heritage Hall on the Fairgrounds.  Accepted on this day:

  •     Needle Arts
  •     Quilting Arts
  •     Sewing Arts
  •     Fiber Arts
  •     Quilt Block Contest
  •     People's Choice Contest (Theme is "water" open to all textile divisions)
Entry Day for Food Divisions is Monday July 28, 2025, from 1pm - 7 pm at Heritage Hall on the Fairgrounds.  Accepted on this day:
  •     Baking Arts
  •     Food Preservation (including honey)
  •     Beverages
  •     Kitchen Arts

Competitors for the Master Maker Award must enter on both days.

Pick-up Day is Monday, August 4, 1pm-7pm.

Home Arts People's Choice Textile Contest for 2025 is Water, and the contest is open to every textile technique, from Needlework to Quilting to Sewing & Embroidery to Fiber Arts. We hope to display contest entries in the Heritage Hall "Dining Room" and include People's Choice voting for daily favorites. 

Quilt Block Contest kits will be available from Lost & Found Crafts in Olympia.
